The story of JP-SELECT began in April 2020, at a time when an unprecedented threat, the coronavirus, was ravaging the world.

In the midst of all this, it had been four months since I quit my previous job, and I was in the midst of searching for a job that I could devote myself to.
Then, I received a hint that led me to start JP-SELECT from an important person who has been very kind to me on a regular basis.

 

He had been in the IT industry for a long time.
When I was struggling to find a job, he gave me various information about the IT industry.
I was interested in cross-border e-commerce, which is a dream job to sell products to the world via the Internet.
I still vividly remember how excited I was when I learned about this industry, which is so large, interesting and full of possibilities.

I wanted to try my hand at this dreamy cross-border EC business, so I started by researching what Japanese products were in demand from people around the world. The first thing I did was to research what Japanese products were in demand from people around the world.
And what I discovered was Japanese stationery.
I am ashamed to say that I have been living in Japan for 26 years, but I had never known that Japanese stationery and fountain pens had so many fans all over the world.
However, the COVID-19 is now spreading around the world.
Even if I wanted to come to Japan to buy stationery, I would not be able to do so.
So, I decided to start selling Japan-only stationery on the Internet.
Of course, it was my first time to start my own business and I had to start from scratch.
It was a series of firsts for me, and especially since I was dealing with the world, I faced a lot of problems that were much more difficult than starting a business in Japan.

When I think about it now, I think it was because I was ignorant that I was able to take the plunge.

Every day, the world is filled with gloomy news like never before...
It is precisely because of these depressing days that I have a passionate desire to use the power of EC to help people around the world regain a happy feeling through Japanese stationery.

And here we are.
I learned a lot of important lessons in my life from him who gave me the opportunity to start JP-SELECT, but one of them was the most important.
It ’s a feeling of compassion in the other person ’s position.
Even if I sacrifice myself, I want to do something for the other person, and I am moved by that feeling ...
And this experience has become a very important element in the operation of JP-SELECT.

Since we are on the Internet, we cannot serve customers directly, so we want to be a store that always puts the customer first and is always close to them.
That's our policy.
It is with this in mind that we have decided on this major store renovation.

The structure of the site has been designed from the customer's point of view to address their biggest concerns, such as shipping costs and customs duties, and to improve customer service.

It's been exactly one year since JP-SELECT started!

Thanks to your support, we have shipped over 200 products to countries around the world in the past year!
At JP-SELECT, I do all the work, from site production to customer service and packaging, by myself.

For this reason, I'm sure there are some things that I haven't done as well as I should, but I will do my best to make the store even more customer-oriented in the future, so I would be extremely happy if you could patronize me.
