Juhyo, the magnificent snow monsters of Japan’s Zao mountain range, are nature’s own works of art. Formed when seasonal winds sweeping down from Siberia meet the mountain forests, they transform trees into extraordinary sculptures of ice and snow.

At dawn, the first light of the rising sun illuminates the delicate ice crystals, setting them aglow with a brilliance reminiscent of fine quartz. A soft amethyst hue washes over the vast, snow-covered landscape, creating a fleeting spectacle of ethereal beauty.

Inspired by this rare and breathtaking sight—one that can be witnessed on only a handful of days each year—Juhyo Amethyst Mio captures the enchanting colors of a frozen dawn in the form of a fine writing instrument.

Let your imagination wander to the first light of day breaking over Zao’s otherworldly snow monsters, where crystalline brilliance meets the quiet beauty of a winter morning.

A moment of nature’s magic, captured in a pen.
